Acra AI’s mission is to make high-quality anomaly detection practical in real-world networks by delivering efficient, local intelligence that operates where network behavior actually occurs.
We build software designed to run at the edge and on-premise, learning per-device behavior without relying on continuous cloud analysis or centralized data collection. Our focus is on reducing complexity, preserving data ownership, and improving signal quality for operators managing heterogeneous, privacy-sensitive environments.
Vision
Local-first detection as the default.
We envision a future where anomaly detection is a native capability of network infrastructure. This means embedding directly into gateways, platforms, and managed environments rather than bolted on through cloud-first tooling.
As networks become more distributed and constrained, security must become more local, more efficient, and more adaptable. Acra AI exists to help make that shift possible by enabling partners to integrate intelligent, privacy-preserving detection into the systems people already rely on.
Founder
Steven Arroyo
Steven’s work in anomaly detection began in academia, focusing on building compute-efficient methods for detecting abnormal behavior in networked and constrained environments.
That research matured through IEEE publications and graduate work validating detection under realistic conditions. Acra AI carries those principles forward into a production-oriented engine that can be embedded and deployed locally. This removes the need for expensive centralized cloud analysis.
Today, Steven leads Acra AI with a focus on building practical, privacy-preserving software that integrates cleanly into the infrastructure operators already use. In parallel, he works through Arroyo Consulting to help organizations design and deploy efficient, privacy-preserving AI systems across constrained and distributed environments.
